The George Alexander Foundation was established by Mr George Alexander AM in 1972 to provide grants for public charitable purposes in Australia. The objectives of the Foundation reflect the Founder?s special interests in the areas of Education and Environment and Conservation. The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship Program was established in 2001 to assist talented young people to meet their educational potential. In 2008 The George Alexander Foundation Scholarship and Bursary program was extended to The Gordon, for a 5 year term.
Applicants must: be Australian citizens; applying for and accepted to study a course at any campus of The Gordon in the calendar year of applications; be of excellent academic quality and/or with a proven skill in a trade whoe have commenced or are commencing full time studies in a certificate, diploma or advanced diploma or apprenticeship at The Gordon; and not be already holding a George Alexander Foundation Study Support Scholarship.
The scholarship is valued at $2,500 for 1 year.
