The Rae and Edith Bennett Travelling Scholarships are provided to assist students and graduates of the University of Melbourne to undertake postgraduate study or research in the United Kingdom.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an award course at the University of Melbourne and/or be a graduate of the University of Melbourne, and intend to commence postgraduate study or research in the United Kingdom for a period of at least 12 months. Selection is based on: academic achievements; extra-curricular activities and personal qualities; and financial position. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview.
The scholarship is valued at between $40,000 and $60,000 per year for up to 3 years. The value of the scholarship depends on: the quality and nature of the application; the anticipated living and education costs of the proposed study or research; the exchange rate when the scholarship is awarded; and available funds.
