A generous donation by Dr Vic Beasley has enabled the establishment of the Vic Beasley Bursary. The bursary has been established to encourage financially disadvantaged students who have participated in the Flinders University Foundation Course to undertake higher education.
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have completed the Flinders University Foundation Course in the year before the bursary is awarded; have applied for and been admitted to an undergraduate course of study at Flinders University; and belong to one of the equity groups targeted by the university. Selection is based on demonstrated financial need and academic potential as assessed by performance in the Foundation Course.
The bursary is valued at $500 for the first year of study.
