Applicants must: be from a remote/isolated area of NSW; be in their first year of study for a professional career that could be applied to a rural context (there would be an intention that upon graduation the graduate would work in a country area); have a strong empathy with the 'bush' community; and have demonstrated academic achievement. Preference may be given to applicants who were recipients of the Federal Government's AIC allowance with supplement or from families who are currently EC declared. Preference is also given to students studying at the Bathurst, Dubbo or Orange campuses.
The scholarship is valued at $3,000 per year for up to 3 years. Payments are subject to the student maintaining a minimum 4.0 average with ongoing enrolment.
