Cambridge Australia Scholarships provides scholarships for outstanding Australian graduates to undertake master and PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, England. In collaboration with the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust, Cambridge Australia Scholarships awards up to 10 PhD scholarships and a number of master degree half-scholarships each year.
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have been awarded a bachelor degree with honours, or a master degree from a recognized Australian university; and have gained admission to the University of Cambridge. International students are ineligible to apply. Generally, successful applicants for PhD scholarships have been awarded (or are likely to achieve) a first-class honours degree or equivalent.
PhD scholarships are tenable for 3 years and cover university and college fees, a maintenance allowance for living expenses, and provide a contribution towards a return airfare to the United Kingdom. Master coursework degree scholarships are tenable for 1 year and cover half these costs.
