SA Water Scholarships for Honours Students

These scholarships are part of a program to foster innovation in water-related research through strategic and applied research, and associated theoretical work. The scholarship also aims to cultivate a research culture in undergraduates in water-related disciplines at the University of Adelaide. Where possible, SA Water will work alongside the academic supervisors and recipients to provide a co-supervisor on their honours project.
The scholarship is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents enrolled in one of the following programs at the University of Adelaide: Bachelor of Natural Resource Management (Honours); Bachelor of Science (Honours); or Bachelor of Environmental Policy (Honours). The research topic must be in the area of water quality and environment, water resource management, drinking water quality treatment or environmental management and impact. Students must have successfully completed any of the following programs at the University of Adelaide: Bachelor of Science (Natural Resources) or (Natural Resource Management), majoring in land and water management, conservation and wildlife ecology or environmental geosciences; Bachelor of Science majoring in evolutionary biology and ecology, or soil science and spatial information science; or Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Management majoring in geographical and environmental studies. Selection is based on academic achievement, demonstrated financial need and technical knowledge and relevance of the intended thesis topic. Students applying should have an interest in the SA Water Graduate Program.
The scholarships are valued at $5,000 for 1 year.
