The awards will be offered to students who demonstrate excellence not only in their academic studies, but in extracurricular achievements such as arts, sport, and community development.
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have applied through TISC for a place at UWA, nominating a UWA course as their first preference for the first round of offers; demonstrate a high level of achievement across 5 TEE subjects/WACE courses of study in the year of application; provide evidence of some other outstanding achievement (e.g. Captain of School, community service, sport, the arts, public speaking, Maths/Science Olympiads, Duke of Edinburgh award); and intend to commence studies at UWA in the next year (note the award is not deferrable).
The scholarship provides a one-off payment of $5,000.
