The studentship is available to women enrolled on a part-time basis for a research degree at Murdoch University. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an absence from previous studies of at least 1 year in order to undertake family responsibilities, and an inability to enrol on a full-time basis for compelling reasons, such as the need to undertake part-time employment or to fulfil major family commitments.
The scholarship provides: a stipend of $11,430 per year (2011 APA rates); a thesis allowance of $420 for master students, and $840 for PhD students; and, where applicable, a relocation allowance. Tenure is up to 6 years for PhD studies and 2-3 years for master studies.
