Funds for the scholarship come from an endowment made to ANU by Emeritus Professor Peter Baume, AO, Chancellor of the university. The scholarship is intended to assist a student enrolled in the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health with travel to a national or international conference in pursuit of the student's academic goals.
The scholarship is open to all currently enrolled, full-time students at NCEPH. However, in alternate years, only Indigenous Australian students will be eligible to apply.
The value of the scholarship varies from year to year.
