Leo Howard Memorial Bursary

The scholarship was established in 1978 by a bequest from the late Leo Howard, Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at The University of Queensland, and funds raised by his friends to augment his bequest for the purpose of creating a suitable memorial to him.
The bursary is open to students who have completed the first 2 semesters of an engineering program at The University of Queensland. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need. Tenure is dependent on continued diligence.
The value of the bursary varies and is determined by the Executive Dean each year.
