The scholarship provides support for commencing Indigenous students enrolling in enabling and degree courses. Students are guaranteed an ongoing CECS or CAS or CECS/CAS combined relevant to their level of undergraduate study.
Applicants must be commencing Indigenous students who meet eligibility criteria as per Commonwealth Scholarships. Preference will be given to applicants relocating from rural and remote areas.
The scholarship provides a one-off payment of $4,659 (2013 rate). Recipients will also be awarded an Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship, and, where applicable, an Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship.
