The University of Tasmania offers 100 Access Bursaries to provide assistance to needy students.
Applicants must have to either reside away from home in order to attend university; have to travel a significant distance to attend university due to family or other commitments; or demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are members of the University's targeted equity groups and who are commencing study. Equity groups are: rural or remote background; low socio-economic background; Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; women in non-traditional area of study; non-English speaking background; or disability.
The bursary is valued at $1,000 for 1 year.
