This scholarship is funded by the Australian Business Research Institute (ABRI) in memory of Keith Entwistle AM, who significantly supported Australia's beef industry through research into the reproductive physiology of tropical beef cattle and veterinary education. The recipient will commence full-time, on-campus studies at the University of New England in an undergraduate course in Rural Science, Agriculture, Livestock Science or Agribusiness.
Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have an address that is regional or remote; be completing year 12 or a gap year; be commencing university study for the first time in the following year; and be aged 21 or under at the start of the academic teaching year. Students who have already been admitted to UNE under the gifted and talented arrangements with the NSW Board of Studies are also eligible to apply.
The scholarship is valued at $6,000 per year for 3 years.
