These 6 scholarships are the most prestigious scholarships offered by the University of Tasmania for undergraduate students.
The scholarships are available for study in any academic area that the university offers except for the Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery. Selection is based on excellent achievement in studies at school and a high tertiary entrance score. International students who have completed Year 12 in a school in Tasmania or Australia may apply for these awards. Preference will be given to students showing evidence of a breadth of study and success in subjects beyond those included in calculating the entrance score. Tenure is dependent on high academic performance.
The scholarship is valued at up to $12,500 per year for up to 4 years. The amount included in the package will vary according to individual needs, and may include: a living allowance; course fees; support with accommodation; an establishment allowance; and an annual return airfare to Tasmania for interstate students.
