The Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch Scholarship was established in 2005 by the Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch to assist a local young person with study-related expenses.
Applicants must be commencing their first undergraduate degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast (or have commenced study in semester 2 of the previous year), and be permanent residents of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council area. Selection is based on high academic achievement, active involvement in extra-curricular and community activities, and financial need.
The scholarship covers student contribution fees for the first year of study (valued at approximately between $4,000 and $8,000), and provides a one-off payment of $1,000.
