This means tested scholarship for Year 12 boys from government schools is for full-time study at any Victorian university.
Applicants must have attended a Victorian State School for not less than 5 years preceding the award of the scholarship and must be of no more than 19 years of age on 1 January in the year of the award (i.e. not yet 20). Not available for studies in theology, music, arts and education except where an applicant wishes to study an undergraduate degree in arts at the University of Melbourne as a precursor to postgraduate studies other than in theology, music or education. In addition, boys who are no more than 21 years of age on 1 January in the year of award, who are in Australia on a refugee visa and have been at a Victorian State School for no less than 2 years may apply.
The scholarship amount covers any costs of university education that a scholar may have, including living expenses. The scholarship generally continues for the full course of undergraduate study.
