Applicants must: be Australian citizens or permanent residents; have relocated to Adelaide from a rural or isolated area to pursue their studies; be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program; and be required to undertake a placement to gain professional experience in the year that they apply for the grant. Applicants are required to provide a statement detailing the location and duration of the placement, how the grant will assist them in undertaking the placement and their future career goals. Recipients of another award provided by the Pank Family are ineligible to apply. Selection is based on: demonstrated financial need; academic merit; a personal written statement; the length of the placement; and an interview.
The grants will provide financial assistance for the costs associated with undertaking a placement including travel, accommodation and living expenses.
