To assist eligible students undertake post-secondary study in Queensland.
The scholarship is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who have completed one year of a post-secondary course at one of the following institutions: University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, University of Southern Queensland, Central Queensland University, Qld Colleges of TAFE and are enrolled on a full-time basis for a subsequent year of that program. Preference is given to applicants in the fields of medicine, science, engineering, dentistry, architecture, agriculture and veterinary science. The selection committee will take into account the candidate's academic merit; other scholarships, bursaries, awards, benefits held. Social and economic need may be a further criterion.
The value of the scholarships is $3,000 per year. Tenure is for the duration of the program, subject to annual review.
