The scholarship was established to perpetuate the memory of the gift of property to the university by the United Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Queensland.
The scholarship is open to full-time students enrolled in the fourth or subsequent year of the student's current undergraduate program. Preference will be given to 4th-year applicants. Selection is based on the highest cumulative GPA in the student's current program, and the following criteria in order of preference: freemasons, and sons and daughters of freemasons of the United Grand Lodge of Queensland; grandchildren of freemasons of the UGLQ; and sons, daughters or grandchildren of a person (living or deceased), once considered a freemason of the UGLQ.
The scholarship is valued at $1,000.
