The scholarship has been established to enhance the opportunities of students from country high schools in Australia to enrol in an undergraduate program of study at UNSW in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Applicants must have completed the HSC (or equivalent) at a country high school in the top 5 per cent of their state-wide cohort in the year of application, and be accepted into an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Selection is based on academic merit, demonstrated ability and leadership qualities, and potential to contribute to the wider life of UNSW. Consideration may also be given to financial need or social/economic circumstances which might otherwise hinder a successful transition to UNSW.
The scholarship is valued at $4,000 for 1 year.
