The scholarship has been established to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at Avondale.
The scholarships are awarded to new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students enrolling in certificate, diploma, bachelor degree or double degree courses. They are available to students transferring from another institution to Avondale.
The scholarship is valued at $1,500 per year for residential students and $1,000 for non-residential (day) students for each year of study of a certificate or diploma and up to 4 years of a Bachelor degree or double degree at undergraduate level. Tenure is dependent on satisfactory academic progress of a full-time study load of 24 credit points or equivalent in VET courses.
