Applicants must: be Australian citizens or New Zealand citizens, or permanent citizens of Australia other than New Zealand (other than humanitarian), or permanent citizens of Australia other than New Zealand (humanitarian); be commencing full time undergraduate study at La Trobe University; have never previously attempted a university course; and live in the surrounding area of, and study at, one of La Trobe's regional campuses in Victoria (Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura, Shepparton). Selection is based on financial need and educational disadvantage.
The scholarship is valued at $3,000 per year, paid in 2 equal instalments. A part-time scholarship is valued at $1,500 per year. Tenure is for the normal duration of the course, including honours if applicable.
