Based on the world renowned Waite Campus, the School of Agriculture, Food & Wine is seeking a motivated individual with a strong track-record in wine science to join its Wine Science and Business Group.

You will be expected to contribute to teaching programs, undertake postgraduate research student supervision, and develop an externally-funded research program related to either wine processing or the analytical chemistry of wine.

Position Requirements

You should have:

A PhD in wine science, wine chemistry, analytical chemistry, food science or another relevant discipline.
A strong track record in research as evidenced by peer reviewed publications relevant to one of the above areas.
Aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to coordinate courses in oenology and sensory analysis.
Ability to develop and lead a successful research group and attract external funding in wine processing, or the analytical chemistry of wine.
Demonstrated capacity to supervise Honours and postgraduate students.
Experience of wine-making in a commercial or research environment.
A willingness to develop your knowledge of Australian and international wine styles.

Salary
(Level B) $73,228 - $86,960 per annum.

Superannuation
Plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
